Meet the Crew!

This league exists only because of the efforts of our devoted core crew of volunteers. Get to know them below!

Jackie Morrison – League Director

Jackie (aka Finn’s mom, the spotted dog hanging around the adventure van or constantly bringing you a stick or ball.) She has been with the league since the beginning starting as our Registration Manager and GRiT Coordinator then moving into the Event & Race Director position and know leading the way as our League Director. Jackie’s work emphasizes FL NICA’s mission to develop character and promote inclusivity through cycling, fostering an environment that builds confidence, teamwork, and resilience among youth. As the league director, Jackie favorite part giving every student-athlete a high🖐️ at least once during the season. Her personal goal is to bring Florida communities together through cycling.

Joe Miller – Race Director

Joe began his cycling career at age 17, competing in the Fall Florida State NORBA series. By the following spring he advanced to race on the Jeep NORBA National Tour, riding for RockShox Devo, launching his national and international racing pursuits. Joe continued to UCI road and track cycling competition, living in Switzerland and racing with European teams. While preparing for a World Cup track cycling event with Team USA, he was struck by a vehicle, sustaining several cervical vertebrae fractures that ended his international racing career.

Transitioning from professional sports, Joe embarked on a career in law enforcement, first serving with the Daytona Beach Police Department before joining the DEA to focus on narco-terrorism and operations in the Middle East. Throughout this time, he remained active in cycling, participating in US criteriums, Police and Military Games, and mentoring emerging riders at national and international levels. Following injuries sustained during an operational takedown that necessitated several surgeries over three years, Joe was again medically ‘retired’ and transitioned once again.

He now operates several small businesses in Ormond Beach, Florida, including one dedicated to providing high-level racing equipment and performance data management for teams and individual racers. Together with his wife, Jill, and daughter, Kate, Joe enjoys outdoor activities and continues to promote cycling and its positive community impact.

Jason Miller – Director of Coaching & Event DJ

Jason, seen here with his youngest son Lucas, discovered mountain biking late in life, but went all in on the sport after finding NICA while stationed in North Carolina in 2022. After retiring from the Coast Guard later that year, he and his family returned to their home in Titusville, FL where he co-founded the Space Coast Composite team. After his first season, the league director position came open and he jumped at the opportunity. Jason’s focus is on building strong cycling communities to support our teams and the league, and to get more kids on bikes for life!

Craig Woolston – Operations Manager

Nine years ago Craig was training to be the Chief Course Marshall for the SoCal NICA league when his company asked him to move to Florida.  This was just in time to help Maxwell (founder and first league director) launch FICL, but as the league Ops Manager.  He enjoys bringing the NICA experience to the kids and families of Florida while getting to know all the great places there are to ride in Florida.  During the week Craig works as an engineer for Northrop Grumman designing and building advance aircraft.

Mark Audette – Chief Course Setter

Mark is a total goofball, and kind of a nerd, but he builds a mean race course and publishes phantastic photos.  He’s been with the league since the founding days in 2018.  Mark also doubled as assistant coach for the Winter Park Coyotes team for all 5 seasons, sharing his decade of mountain bike racing experience with the student athletes. In his professional life, Mark has been employed by State and Federal government since 2001.  Fun fact:  Mark used to weigh the elephants at the Sanford Zoo with state DOT truck scales.

Kori Stolzman – Chief Marshal

Hi! I’m Kori! I’m a mom of 4 kids and 2 cats! I am also a nurse midwife and work in women’s health. I love being a part of helping women during their childbirth experience. My family started biking in 2020 during COVID. We’ve love traveling around Florida to bike. We hope to go to Bentonville soon! I love being a part of the NICA community. I’m overjoyed when I see our student athletes conquer their goals, both big and small!

Denise Woolston – Volunteer Coordinator

This is Denise’s 6th Season with NICA Florida.  Her son began racing in CA with NICA in 2016.    She and her husband Craig moved to Florida just as Florida started their own league.   She has loved working as a Core Volunteer  helping with race setup, Parking and most recently Volunteer Coordinator.    Denise loves seeing the different race venues, being able to ride the trails, meeting new friends, and seeing the student athletes’ racing excitement.   She just retired from 30 years of teaching elementary school and is looking forward to spending more time riding the trails!

Myke Bardell – Asst. Course Setter

Hello! I am a proud father of four. I found cycling back in the 1980’s, racing BMX bikes. Circa 1995 I purchased my first MTB, the rest is history. I joined FL NICA in 2023 for my kids to have the sense of community I had back in my BMX days. When I am not on a bike I inspect fire protection systems. On my days off you can find me at a FL NICA event weekend, MTB Trail, or on a bikepacking adventure. Happy Trails!

Pedro Agosto – Parking Manager

Pedro and his son Gabriel joined FL NICA in 2022. In 2024, Pedro joined the staff as parking manager. He recently retired from the Federal Government after 25 years of service. Pedro is dedicated in bringing the youth to the outdoors by supporting the league’s mission #more kids on bikes. He has also volunteered with Scouting America for 12 years and Florida Trappers Association for 3 years, helping youth get outdoors. He recently started a YouTube channel call “camper wagon” highlighting the Florida’s outdoors.
