The Florida Interscholastic Cycling League (FL NICA), established in 2018, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an official Project League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We use the bicycle as a catalyst to build strong bodies, minds, character, and communities. Open to all Florida youth in grades 5–12, our league provides education, training, licensing, and insurance for coaches and volunteers to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
We host high-quality mountain bike events and races that emphasize participation, camaraderie, positive sporting behavior, and overall well-being over competition.
Our early years (2018–2019) focused on coach training, NICA GRiT, and building our race series. Despite the challenges of the 2020 season and the cancellation of races due to COVID-19, we came back strong in 2021, expanding our programming to include NICA Teen Trail Corps (trail maintenance & advocacy) and NICA Adventure.
Now entering our 7th season (2025–26), we are growing even more—offering expanded GRiT, Adventure, Teen Trail Corps, and racing opportunities—all dedicated to one goal: getting more kids on bikes for life.

Vision
To empower Florida’s youth to become the best version of themselves: both on and off the bike.
