2021 Race Series

The deadline for registering for all races in the 2021 Race Series is February 12th, 2021. The last day to register AND receive a customized race plate is January 31st, 2021. Registration must be completed via the NICA Pit Zone website.

Regarding the last two races, Twisting Through Twister at Santos, near Ocala, this is a two race weekend but you only have to pay for one race. Yes, two for the price of one! If you plan to attend both days be sure they click on both Sunday AND Saturday and once added to the cart it will automatically be discounted by $40.

We will kick off season two in the central part of the state on the wonderful trails at Loyce E. Harpe Park, otherwise known as Carter Road! The single track at Carter Road is built on the rugged terrain of what was once a phosphate mining site offering a little something for everyone from beginners to advanced riders. Student-athletes will experience a course that starts off on a wide dirt road then flows into single track that meanders around scenic lakes, takes them up and down ridges and then ends with a section of tight, twisty, single track that takes them to the finish.

Join us in the northern part of the state on the wonderful trails at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park for our second event! In partnership with the Friends of San Felasco and the state park, this venue promises to be an instant favorite! This is one of Florida’s truest cross-country trails with continuous gradual up and down grades and a handful of roots to keep you on your toes.

For our third series event we are going south to West Palm Beach! It will be here at Dyer Park that racers will get a chance to experience the “Hill”, as well as the twisty single track on the perimeter trail. Riders will experience everything cross country mountain biking has to offer, climbs, descents, double track, and tight single track. Dyer Park will be a trail to remember.

Twisting Through Twister

Saturday AND Sunday May 1-2, 2021

Santos Vortex Trailhead

9150 SE 25th Avenue – Ocala, Florida 34480

For our fourth AND fifth series events we are going to the famous trails of Santos! Student-athletes will start in the Pit of the Vortex area of Santos and head directly up a double track road that leads into an open field. From here riders will enter the trails leading to Twister which is a fast, flowy, and you guessed it, twisty trail. Although not considered to be a technical trail, keep your eyes open for the few fast turns and rooty sections as well as a few steep drops and inclines to keep you on your toes. This trail will leave students exiting the trails with a huge smile. Saturday student-athletes will run the course clockwise and Sunday it will run in reverse!
