Program Fee: $380
The program fee covers a full season of participation including the following:

This non-refundable fee is paid by all student-athletes prior to participating in any league event, including team practices.
The season fee does not cover venue entrance fees, travel, lodging, or equipment. Teams may also opt to charge a team fee to cover team expenses such as practice materials, team uniforms, snacks, and other shared supplies. The amount will vary by team. Contact your head coach for more information on team fees.
COACH:
Any adult who participates in team practices must be a registered coach with NICA and background checked.
- NICA National Registration Fee: $30.00
- NICA Coach Technology Fee: $5.00
- Background Check: Year 1 = $42; Years 2-6 = $15; Year 7 = $42
- WFA & CPR (required for Level 2 or 3): ~$100
- NICA On-the-Bike 101 (required for Level 2 or 3): $35.00

Compliant Teams: $150

All teams must register with the League. Doing so provides insurance coverage for all coaches and volunteers, and ensures teams are included in League communications and programing.
In order to register, the teams director should contact the league director. Team registration opens September 1 and remains open until the first race of the season. Potential teams can inquire about participation and work on coach licensing any time throughout the year.
FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS
We are committed to making sure every student-athlete has the opportunity to participate in all league activities regardless of their financial situation.
COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ACCESS FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES
We are thrilled to offer partial to complete financial aid support to student-athletes in need. As we grow as an organization and as donations are made to further support the efforts to put #morekidsonbikes, our financial aid resources will continue to grow.
Financial aid is our commitment to help you be part of this amazing experience. We ask for your commitment in return by attending 90% or more of team practices. We also ask you to share your experience with us – upon request, identity will remain confidential.
During the financial aid application process, you will be prompted to:
1) Seek support from every kid sports and sign up for their newsletter for future opportunities.
2) Talk with your team to see if they may be able to waive team fees, loan a bike, or provide a level of financial support.
Scholarship applications are due by November 15th. All decisions are made by FL NICA financial committee by November 30th. After the initial round, we will re-evaluate the funding availability and re-open the application process if able. Please carefully read and complete the SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
EVERY KID DESERVES THE CHANCE TO PLAY YOUTH SPORTS.
At Every Kid Sports, they believe every kid deserves the chance to play sports. Why? The positive impact and outcomes experienced through participation. Be it social connection, mental/emotional well-being, or physical development, so much is in play.
Every Kid Sports partners with individuals and organizations to fund their every kid sports pass. This program removes the financial obstacle of participation and encourages families to apply four times per year, per kid, allowing for multi-sport experiences and kid choice.
FL NICA families seeking financial aid are asked to apply with every kid sports and sign up for their newsletter for future opportunities.
Financial aid is also available to support the formation of a team and to support coaches. Please contact us for more information. We’ll find out more about your situation and do what we can to assist your efforts to build a team in your area and to get more kids and coaches on bikes!

NICA develops scholarships with partners to grow diversity in the sport of cycling and provide better access for diverse and underrepresented youth. Select scholarships also recognize and support student-athletes who have demonstrated academic and athletic excellence during their time with NICA and will attend college and continue to compete in mountain bike racing.
