At FL NICA, we believe every student-athlete has the potential to lead. Leadership gives students the opportunity to build confidence, find their voice, serve their teammates and communities, and turn their passion for cycling into positive change. Through a variety of leadership opportunities, FL NICA empowers student-athletes to lead on the trails, on their teams, and beyond.

Student Leadership Council

The Student Leadership Council provides a pathway for high school student-athletes to develop leadership skills, increase community engagement, and actively shape the organization in alignment with NICA’s mission, vision & core values, by ​​enabling league leadership to regularly hear directly from key stakeholders, our student-athletes.

GRiT Ambassadors

FICL GRiT Ambassadors are role models, advocates for female student-athletes and play an invaluable role in recruiting and retaining girls for their team and the league at large. GRiT Ambassadors are selected through an application process and are chosen after careful consideration of character, dedication, ability to inspire other girls to join and ride, communication style, years in the league, and location in the state. GRiT Ambassadors will work closely with our GRiT Coordinator and GRiT Coaches as advocates and leaders for the league and their own team.
