About Us

We are Florida Interscholastic Cycling League (FL NICA), a chapter of National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that develops youth cycling programs using mountain bikes to build strong minds, bodies, character, and community. Open to all Florida youth in grades 5–12, our league provides education, training, licensing, and insurance for coaches and volunteers to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

We are committed to:

  • Welcoming and supporting diversity in ability, gender, ethnicity, orientation, and skill level
  • Promoting health and fitness for youth and their families
  • Encouraging safe and responsible riding
  • Inspiring youth and families to enjoy the outdoors
  • Advocating for trail stewardship, maintenance, building, and environmental awareness
Florida Cycling League Mission:

Every youth is empowered to be part of a thriving and engaged cycling community.

Fun. Inclusivity. Equity. Respect. Community.

What is NICA?

Founded in 2009, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association is a leader in the youth mountain biking movement. With leagues across the country, NICA is transforming the way kids experience youth sports, using mountain bikes as a tool to build strong minds, bodies, character, and communities.

There are no tryouts, there’s no bench: everyone rides, and everyone has a place in NICA.
