In-person Leaders Summit – September 17th and 18th, 2022 at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, FL.
The 2022 Coach and Leaders’ Summit will be held on September 17-18 in Hobe Sound, FL at the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. This will be a two-day summit filled with on-the-bike skills training, classroom seminars and workshops with NICA National Trainers and FICL Coach Supporters. Since we have both returning coaches mixed in with brand new coaches, or new to NICA coaches, we will be running two tracks on both Saturday and Sunday. Please look at the following itinerary and be sure to register for the appropriate track.

Check in begins at 9 AM in the Elsa Kimbell Center
Track 1: For new coaches or those that have not attended a Leaders Summit in the past (virtual or in-person).

Sunday September 18th: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Leaders Summit Location:
Kitching Creek Pavilion and Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455.
Check in begins at 8 AM at the Kitching Creek Pavilion – Everyone will meet at the pavilion to check-in and get some breakfast starting at 8 AM. Then at 8:30 AM three different groups will form: OTB 101, OTB 201 and NICA Approved First Aid.
(All new participants will be in OTB 101 and returning coaches that have completed OTB 101 may take OTB 201. The NICA Approved First Aid is ONLY for those that have pre registered and completed the online portion of the class).
Weekend Event Details
When: Saturday, September 17th from 9:00am-4:30pm and Sunday, September 18th from 8am-3pm.
Where: Saturday morning meet at the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455at 9am. This is in the back of the park near the River Campground. On Sunday meet at the Kitching Creek Pavilion at 8am.

Cost: $80 per person for the Leaders Summit. ($100 additional fee for the NICA Approved First Aid two year certification from Adventure Med). Park Entrance Fee – $4 for a single-occupant vehicle per day or $6 for 2-8 people. If you are camping the parking fee is included with camping registration.
Includes: Morning coffee, breakfast snacks, lunch and OTB Skills Field Guides. Registration does not include lodging or dinner however dining options are available nearby.

Lodging: Summit attendees are responsible for their own lodging. There are two camping areas in Jonathan Dickinson State Park and sites can be reserved by going to HERE. There are also hotel and house rental options in nearby Hobe Sound or Jupiter, FL.
